Art Gallery Digital Interactive

Overview

This project was completed for Dublin Arts Council, a small art gallery in Dublin, OH. I collaborated with Hilary Katz, a museum educator interested in the role of digital media in art education. We designed an application to accompany the Columbus Crossing Borders painting exhibit, in which immigrant and refugee artists paint in some portion of one another's images. The application provided visitors with an opportunity to create their own image using sampled visuals from the exibited paintings. I created the assets and developed the software for the appliacation, installed on iPads. A short survey was included in the app, which recorded and stored the responses for data collection. This data was analyzed and disseminated in an article we coauthored and published in Art Education.
